To all of our brothers and sisters in our northern states
We have noticed a number of firefighters that are bagpipers and drummers
along with their families have been retiring and moving to Florida. I have
been told many times that they either didn’t know there were any
firefighter based bands in the area or they didn’t know how to contact
them.
Our band incorporated in 2003 as a
not-for-profit organization [Section 501 (c) (3)] for the purpose of
providing support to the public safety organizations in the greater Tampa
Bay area. We are a non-competition street band and take great pride
in playing for numerous fire department functions throughout the area, in
addition to parades and private performances.
Practices are held once a week on Tuesday evenings. We are a teaching band and welcome any active or
retired firefighter as well as their family members interested in learning
piping or drumming. Also we are always in need of color guard members. You
are always welcome to stop by and check us out and stay for band practice,
which begins around 6:00.
We’re looking for new members to add to our band
family, so quit sitting on the sidelines and join in the fun.
